The Buena Vista Vista women's basketball team sits atop all of Division III with the top Team GPA from the 2019-20 season as announced by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) on Tuesday, August 11. BVU's team GPA for the 2019-20 season was 3.865. That average was not only the highest by any team on any level for this past season, but the highest among any level over at least the last 19 seasons. It marks the second time in program history that the Beavers have been tops in Division III. The first came back in 2003-04 when it led the way with a 3.603.

She turned in 24 points during the league opener at Nebraska Wesleyan on December 7 and also has a 20-point performance against Coe College on January 2.

Buena Vista University senior Timothy Jeffries becomes the 31st player in program history to reach the 1,000 career point mark on January 8, during the Beavers' 92-88 overtime victory at Loras College. He finished that night with a team-leading 20 points.

Buena Vista junior wide receiver and kick returner Eric Pacheco has been named a Division III Second Team All-American by the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) as announced by the organization on December 4, 2019.

Buena Vista junior wide receiver Eric Pacheco tied the program's single-season record for receiving yards when he chalked up 84 yards at the University of Dubuque in the team's season finale on November 9. As the regular season came to a close this past Saturday, Pacheco finishes among the leaders throughout the American Rivers Conference.

She was one of three Beavers to earn such honors, one of only two teams in the conference to do so.

Buena Vista University junior Raelinn Arnold has become an all-conference finisher for the Beaver women's golf team for the second time in her career after a 10th-place tie earlier this month at the American Rivers Conference Championships. Arnold posted a 54-hole total of 252, capped by her low round of 82 over the final 18 holes on October 7. Arnold turned in a fifth-place performance as a freshman in 2017 and is the program's first two-time all-conference performer since 2010-11.

Buena Vista University junior Alison Schweers recently turned in an all-conference performance for the Beaver women's golf team as she wrapped up her first fall season on campus. Schweers tallied three birdies in her final round 77 on October 7 en route to an eighth-place finish. She had the second-lowest final round score and helped the Beavers capture a fifth-place finish overall - it's best finish in over a decade.
